NVG, National Volunteers Group ( Regd ) NGO working in Diesel loco Modernisation Works, ( Indian Railways) at Patiala , had offered to work for environment protection and awareness on cleanliness in the railway colony on the 2nd October,2014. Administration agreed and sought our cooperation on the Awareness drive for cleanliness . NVG organised a Shramdan programme at the Jheel park, In fact the Jheel Park as well Jheel, is the most neglected area for last 24 yrs., in the Colony. it has become a dumping ground for scrap malba of construction material.
NVG is proud that Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi ,who recently was elected as Member of Parliament from Patiala, Punjab ( India ) is associated with this NGO since its inception in 1991 m rather he is the maind guiding force for NVG. He is our President ( Life) . He is our icon for social work.We have been working under his inspiration and advise. We still are getting his valuable guidance in carrying out social work. We hope he will keep us moving.
Our 2nd. Oct. 2014 we carried out the Shramdan at Jheel Park . Where St. John Ambulance Brigade of DMW, Patial and some other organisations of Workers also participated. All Officers including Chief Administrative officers ( R ) , DMW, Patiala , participated and inspired the volunteers .
